Muddling is used when you use fresh herbs, fruits or vegetables in your drink and want the juice out of it. In some cases, such as the ABSOLUT CITRON MOJITO, you muddle directly in the glass and keep the muddled lime and mint in the drink. In other drinks, ABSOLUT ASIAN SHOOTER for instance, you muddle in the shaker and strain away the herbs.
