2004 Dodge Ram CB Radio Install

2004 Dodge Ram 1500. We install a Cobra 25LTD and a Fatboy 3-Pill preamp using a bumper mounted 5 foot Wilson Silverload Antenna on Saturday 12-3-11. We forgot to show in the video...there is a cute little switch for on and off to the Fatboy, just in front of the radio in the black plastic trim in the corner.

Install by Shadow and Screwdriver.

Damnit, I wish my ram had that storage bin under the seat, I cant find any spot to mount my cb.

@NIGHTRIDER995 Usually with amps with an odd number of pills, one is driving 2 for example. Its called a 1x2 or a 3 pill. You don't have to drive a 1x2 pill very hard because the first pill in the series ups the wattage from the smaller radio to drive the 2 pills behind it. With a 2 or 4(or more) pill amp, you need the higher wattage of the radio ususally 100W +) to drive the pills instead of first transistor(pill) driving the other pills.

@39cummins oh really? im still learning odds and ends in the cb world never delt with amps that much,i heard a guy talking about a 2 pill box and he said u had to drive it with a big radio not a litlle cobra....so i figured 3 is bigger than 2 so it would have to have a bigger radio,how does amps work exactly?like if i had a 250 watt fatboy could my cobra 19 run it? i say cobra 19 cus around here shit gets stolen and if they see a nice big radio like my other ones they would snatch them up but --

@NIGHTRIDER995 It doesn't have to drive that amp at all. 3 watt deadkey swinging 10 into the 1 driving 2 Fatboy is perfect. VERY GOOD SETUP AND A NICE CLEAN INSTALL!!! THUMBS UP TO BELL'S CB!

I gotta agree with the guys here...NICE INSTALL! Great equipment choices. I would not change a thing. ENJOY that BIG RIGGER! Those EXTREME mics do very well too.
