@abatic1 Grab an Ouija board, I'm pretty sure the drives and fans were pretty happy to have died the way they did. Its the Families afterward that ruin the sport. I tell my wife every day when I go for a 'spin' out in the mountains, 'If I die, remember I was happy'. Maybe its because I grew up with a lot of death in my Family, but death by racing disaster would be the best way to die. Even as a Group B spectator.

herrlich. Der Nürburgring war damals schon eine faszinierende Rennstrecke.
Und wenn man bedenkt, wie schnell die Auto Union Rennwagen von damals schon fahren konnten (340 km/h oder sogar mehr) muss man vor den Rennfahrern den Hut ziehen. Ohne ABS oder Airbags oder wenigstens Breitreifen so schnell zu fahren...mutig!

das war die grösste unt schnellste technische entwicklung die es je gab,im sinnbild der vereinigung der ganze energie des deutschen volkes .
Wonderful!! I really like the old scenery, it was much more beautiful than it is now.
