  • Hi Maegawille,

    Glad you liked the video.

  • Hi,

the part of the onion is the thin skin between the layers called the epithelium. I used iodine to stain it brown and methyl blue to stain it blue.

  • my teacher said the cell is 2 toned. What color are they???? plz answer

  • Without dye, the onion cells appear transparent. These had been dyed blue or brown using iodine to help show up the different parts.

  • Sorry, I meant the nucleus is called Brian.

Well anyway my teacher played this video and i recongized this song right away and looked at everyone else and they had no idea what it was, thats kinda sad. Young poeple (my age) eat up whatever the top 40 station throws at them without question, and almost 99% of the time its garbage.

  • I was just looking for a youtube vid to share to a friend that is in memory of onion cells and biology class projects. This one is perfect. The music just adds to these classroom memories.
