Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is an Indian film actor, director and producer. Aamir Khan was born on 14th March 1965 in Bandra's Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai, to a family that has been actively involved in the Indian motion picture industry for several decades.
Khan has worked in a number of critically and commercially successful films and has established himself as one of the leading superstars of Hindi cinema. This reflects in his three National Film Awards win. He is also the founder-owner of Aamir Khan Productions. His two recent movies Ghajini (2008) and 3 Idiots (2009) are the biggest ever grossers of the Bollywood.
He started his career as a child artiste in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973), he had his first commercial success with his cousin Mansoor Khan's film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), for which he won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.
He has worked in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies like Raja Hindustani, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Andaz Apna Apna, Rangeela, Sarfarosh, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Lagaan, Fanaa, Mangal Pandey: The Rising, Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti, Ishq etc.
During the years of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Khan married Reena Dutta. They had two children, a son named Junaid and a daughter, Ira. He is currently married to Kiran Rao who had been an assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker during the filming of Lagaan.
He has also done playback for some of his films, the most popular being Aati Kya Khandala (Ghulam) Chanda Chamke (Fanaa) Bum Bum Bole (Taare Zameen Par).
