  • Assuming this is a charcol or activated carbon filter, which makes a fine filter, it will not remove all micro organisms. Simple procedures such as boiling or the use of an activated carbon filter are not sufficient for treating all the possible contaminants that may be present in water from an unknown source.

    But a great science project for a 4th grader...GOOD JOB!!!!!!!
