*Gizmo the dog: ADOPTED!*

Gizmo the cat: Gizmo is a 4 year old medium-haired kitty that returned to Bideawee when his owner passed away. He had been adopted as a 3 month old kitten, and the staff here remember this special little guy! Gizmo had been was the only survivor in a litter of four kittens that were strays at a municipal shelter. Little Gizmo spent weeks getting over a terrible cold, but he received extra special care from Bideawee staff. While he was recovering it was discovered that Gizmo has feline asthma, a condition made worse by stress. Even though he is a big lion of a kitty, Gizmo will need a gentle hand to help ease him into a new home. Because of his asthma, Gizmo should be your one and only pet. He would do well with a quiet, patient and experienced family with older, cat-savvy kids that will give him time and space to settle into his new home. Once he is comfortable, Gizmo loves to talk by chirping at his human friends, play with toys, and loves to be pet!

Gizmo the dog: Gizmo is a peppy and loving 3 year old Chihuahua mix that is looking for an experienced dog family with teens and adults only. This 8 pound little guy is fairly insecure; he is shy and fearful with new people and has been known to snap and/or bite when he is afraid. Therefore, his new family will need to go slowly with him and supervise him around new people. Once he feels safe, Gizmo is a social lap dog and becomes playful. He seems to trust women more than men. It seems that Gizmo was not properly socialized with other animals when he was younger, as he becomes over-stimulated around cats and other dogs; he becomes very vocal when he sees other dogs. Gizmo is partially housebroken, so his new family will need to continue this work, as well as building his confidence and socializing him with other animals and people.
