More Work Needed on Health Reform

Not sure if you were replying to the right post, but I'll respond anyway.
I realize it's the congress' job to write and pass laws, and the president's to sign them.
HOWEVER, that being said, the president has not sent congress a clear vision of what he wants, but has remained silent. Furthermore, Obama does not favor single payer, while 60% of Americans and 70% of doctors do. Bernie Sanders supports single payer, and is not shy about it. That's why I said I would be writing him in 2012.

I am a life long Democrat ready to give up on my party. Why isn't the President out there saying exactly what Senator Sanders is saying? He (Obama) is a sellout to corporate America as is every elected representative who votes for this legislation.

I'm finished with Obama. I'm writing in Bernie Sanders for President in 2012

He is the best Senator since Paul Wellstone.

Perfectly stated, peregrine11! Single-Payer is the only TRUE reform! :)

I love you Bernie. Why do you care so much for people?

bernie... if the bill ends up sucking hugely you gotta crush it for us, i can totally see the dems screwing things up and making the national healthcare situation worse than it is now

I wish this guy was my senator. Instead I get....Feinstein. ugh

This guy makes sense.
Thank you, Sen. Bernie Sanders for standing up in the US Senate and loudly proclaiming your support for single-payer, Medicare for all health care reform, the right of states to adopt a single-payer model, and for the re-importation of pharmaceuticals. You are a silver lining to the dark clouds of the health care reform process that has so depressed and demoralized me. Thank you for fighting for the people's interests rather than the special interests being defended by most of your colleagues.
