Loca.li Sneak Peak

A sneak peak of the new geo tagging platform which can be found at http://loca.li Beta request invitation is open.

This is a short clip, in which I first intended to demonstrate the loca.li iPhone application. The video however turned out to be the first beta-post on the site. So for the geekness of it I am just uploading it as is ;)

This is running on iPod touch 1G 16GB, Jailbroken and with OS 3.1.2. No need for the phone/ipod to be jailbroken though as the application will be available from the Apple store once released.

So, what is Loca.li? Loca.li is a so-called "location based service". It gives you the opportunity to discover interesting places by other users, or even create your very own location based content, be it pictures, text, or even YouTube videos from your YouTube Channel (it's easy to create an account, just visit www.youtube.com). Imagine you visit a special place, create a video with your phone or camera and instantly show others where it was filmed!
