I love how they focus on the idea of distance!

At the same time, you're supposed to feel like you're waiting for something to happen. "We're slipping just beyond reach". The whole song focuses on waiting for that climax that never comes.And if you really listen, you'll find that the whole amateur feeling lasts only when first hearing the song.

yeah I agree w/ everyone who said that in this song your waiting for the song to pick up and get good... but it never really comes. Not bad. But sorta amateur'ish. IDK, thats just me.
