This is a version of Passai Dai from the Okinawan Bugeikan of the Higa family was performed at the 21st Karate & Kobudo Demonstration on 3rd November 1986 which was organised by Seitoku & Kiyohiko Higa for the Shuri Cultural Festival. Seitoku Higa learnt this kata from Choshin Chibana in 1950, the same year that Chibana formulated the Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate Do Association. This Kata is representative of Chibana Ha Shuri Te. The Passai Sho version of this kata is from Hanashiro Chomo. The performance is by Kiyotomo Higa - first son of Higa Kiyohiko, when he was about 13 years old (The information on the performer was provided by the Way Place).
