Whew... looks simple enough but being me, I'd probably mess something up anyways... like the first step of making the base xD
and I seriously thought the first viewer mask shown was going to be a tiki mask x3

To answer all the questions yes, you can use paper mache,I just did it. The only thing I should warn you about is that it will take much longer because of the drying process. You need to make sure each layer dries 100%, otherwise the mask will get moldy. I did about 3 layers on my face before pelling it off, then I added more layers to make it more rigid. You can still sand it etc. :)
