I taught the correct front from close range. Dog sitting in front with dumbell in mouth one step away, short leash under the chin. Call command to come and guide dog into the correct front and click. Use a "low drive" reward for the beginning for slow but correct movement and clear head. Later on increase the distance and a "high drive" toy to increase speed. Always guide dog to position. Later on change position:Dog sitting to one side and guide to the correct front regardless of your position.

how do you get your dog to sit straight in front of you? my dog does it in the recall, however, in the retrieve she sits to one side, any help would be great.
