  • More air, everything is smeary, and your tone is very airy.

  • I have been told this a lot. I keep trying, but I seem to have trouble doing this. Any advice?

  • What is the name of the book this song is in?

  • I played this for my 8th grade solo and ensembole piece.

    1. Open your teeth.

    2. The song is no where near that fast.

    3. Work on your 8th and 16th notes.

    4. Posture.

    5. Your tone sucks.

    6. Stop the frowning in your face. Relax. It focuses the muscles on the lips.

    7. Dont use your tounge so much. Its smooth.

  • push air with your tummy ;)

  • @ycantiusethenumber27 first of all practice better posture get your arms away from your sides that will help open up your sound a little bit. Second of all for more air practice breathing as stupid as it sounds it will help allow you to take in larger amounts of air allowing you to play longer and play with better tone in all ranges. Third of all for the "smearyness" increase the speed of your slide you can practice this by playing an F and descending by half steps to ur 7th & lightly tonguing

  • @ycantiusethenumber27 Try dropping your jaw for better tone. Use your thumb and stick it in between your front teeth. Then take out your thumb, and close your lips around your now separated teeth. If you can get used to it, it helps tremendously with tone. And, once I started playing like this, I couldn't play with my teeth shut, anymore.

  • I played this on the Euphonium for a recital. Well done, the only criticism I have to offer is capture the style a bit better. You played too marcato, this is a very light, smooth piece. Over all, good job.

  • Thanks for playing this! I have concert band auditions and this helps me get the melody down! 5 Stars

  • Thank you so much.

I am playing this song for Junior Districts and I wasn't sure how the song went.

And I found this video and it helped so much

NO ALL I HAVE TO DO IS LEARN THE SONG ON TROMBONE MYSELF.

  • you need to work on tone. Practice playing those notes for a long duration. Know what a good tone sounds like so you can aspire to play like that. Also a good way to practice is to take the mouthpiece out. Do some buzzing exercises.

  • SLOW DOWN
