@ArmyMP1001 usually for extra man power, or to block traffic, sometimes the only extrication equipment is one the ladder truck, all depends on your area

@usmcwarrior94 im not sure what you mean by this. Not all departments have tiller companies, and if you meant ladder companies thats still not true because more fire dept's dont have ladder co's opposed to the amount of fd's that do.

@Jackus2008 the 3rd truck carries equipment such as the jaws of life that could be used to extract anybody who may be stuck in a vehicle

@jacobstern14048 All fire departments in the US have tiller companies.. its rarely seen because most ladders are either tower ladders or rearmount aerials...
