He came out of retirement to play in this world cup so obviously he wasn't the same player as he was in 98, but he was still good enough to chip the penalty in that beat the great goalkeeper Buffon, he also won the golden boot thats awarded to "The best overall player of the competition" not bad for a guy who was finished
