Internal security minister Professor George Saitoti has absolved the Ethiopian government from the recent killings in Turkana where the Merille militia killed 14 people. Saitoti says the government has already deployed security personnel in Todonyag to tame out the Merile militia, which has been crossing the boarder to raid the Turkana community. According to Saitoti the Ethiopian government should not be blamed over the Merille militia activities saying the Ethiopian and the Kenyan government are in good relationship as the two countries continue coming up with modernity to tackle the merille militia activities in the region. The minister spoke barely a week after the Kenya government sent a second protest letter to Ethiopian authorities over the killings.

  • fuck Kenya they fucking derives to die. It should be an honor for them to be killed by Ethiopian warriors.

  • @almunjama: He is an apologist for gov't failures....did that for Kanu and still Moi kicked him out!

  • Useless African government change is coming soon.

  • Useless politicians.

  • I thought GOK deployed security personnel after the 1st incidence way back in may? It is the every Kenyan citizen right to be and feel protected. Why not have army/ police barracks/stations near the boarder?? Saitoti should just leave the office, i really don't like how he works.

  • then go after the freaking Merille....smoke them out of their holes.....what excuses are you trying to give for GK inaction?

  • Yes Saitoti, what has happened is not an act of Ethiopian Govt, rather an act of terrorism and you and your Govt are asleep looking for a soft way out. Kenya is still vulnerable to attacks like this for as long as our borders remain un-manned by the arm or even the lowest security personell available. Again Shame on you Professor. I liked your work at Education more.
