Bob Skelding and his team of horses have traveled our nations roads for over 1700 miles. They brought smiles to many faces along the way, inspiring us to take a minute and slow down.

At around 11:30am on Tuesday, Feb. 10th, Bob and his rig were struck by an 18 wheeler. Two of Bob's four horse team were killed. Bob was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. His wagon was destroyed.
There has been much speculation about the circumstances surrounding the accident involving Bob Skelding and his horse team. This video shows the terrain of the stretch of Hwy 45 on the Noxubee - Kemper county line. You can determine when his rig would have been visible to traffic and the time/distance from that point to the point of impact.

  • When I came upon this accident it was raining and slightly foggy. I have to think that may have contributed. I'm glad the man is okay. Sorry to hear he lost his horses.
