Alexei Sayle doing a stand-up routine on OTT (Over The Top), the adult spin-off from Tiswas. Originally shown on 2 January 1982 (Central Television's second day of broadcasting). Co-presenters: Chris Tarrant, Lenny Henry, Bob Carolgees, Helen Atkinson-Wood.
I remember being a thick as shit 18-year old when Alexei Sayle came on the scene and thinking 'What is he on about, get him off!'. Same when he had his bit on The Young Ones.Took a few years of adult education before I realised what I'd been missing. Now if I watch The Young Ones, his little cameo is the only bit that truly holds its own after all these years.

@garrington120 Why indeed? Why indeed, friend?
We need less sensitive comedy. Then people would actually be tough enough to take it or shown to be sissy assholes.
