Watch in 720p for best quality.

This is my first attempt at a tutorial and it is somewhat rough around the edges. I only wanted to talk about the use of P1OUT. Anyway I will go into detail on timers, inputs, ports, ADC, & timers later on.

Source code for this tutorial can be found here: http://www.geek1ee.com/htsrv/viewfile.php?root=collection_5&path=source1....

Subscribe and get updated when I post my new tutorials. I have some higher end MSP430's that are 64 pin which I also want to get into.

  • Awesome tutorials...

  • Hello, When I dry to debug, I get an error saying that the .out file could not be found.

  • Great tutorial. I'm a total newbie to microcontrollers and am looking at getting this platform. Its cool that you showed the entire process and having a couple of errors and showing how you went through the compile listing to find the errors is really great too! I've subscribed and am looking forward to more. :) I'm ordering my MSP430 today...

  • hi i have errors and i can`t fix it

  • By the way, like the webcam view of the launchpad in the bottom right.

  • It was kinda weird. My name is Kyle too and both of our workspace location are the same. Kinda confusing to me when I was watching :)

Are you going to create any more tuts?

  • Thanks aton!!! Really hope to see alot more videos from you!.

  • Very helpful, thanks!

  • Nice tutorial man .I am a newbie so i have a question . You checked for the condition

if(CALBC1_1MHZ=0XFF||CALDCO_1MHZ) . Could you explain both these conditions individually ?

  • Hey nice video..

one question, how did you get it to work in windows 7?

As soon as I plug in my launchpad through usb, it says the usb malfunctioned and cannot be used!

    any ideas?
