@icecoldeskimo11 This. This so hard. I mean Jesus Christ, don't block a baseball bat. You'll just break something. Either close in before the first swing or back out of his swing range and then move in after the miss. If you allow him to make you block that means you let him control the distance. Do that and you die.

Best defence against any kind of street fight melee weapon is a light stick about 1.5 inches thick and a yard long. if you ever fight an armed guy look for a stick like objects shovels.mops etc. They are ligther than bats and longer than knives. Dont't block the bat with a stick but redirect the bat by hitting it from any but not the opposite direction then break the hand with a quick strike.Big and light objects are good for blocking a bat/stick like large bags full of clothes etc
