@colony343 the infamous .50cal "box" isnt a flash hider it is a diffuser. it pushes against the recoil.

A suppressor is NOT a flash suppressor. In your world they may be the same, but in recognised circles of communication and knowledge... a suppressor is a Silencer. I have never once heard someone call a flash hider / flash supressor / flash cone, as simply a 'suppressor' and you wont find many who claim the same as you are doing. those who do are wrong.

im not an expert, but isnt it when you take off the compensator, it makes the recoil worse?

The .50 BMG is about 2700 f/s fast, that is almost 1000 meters per second, 3 mach.
If you would reduce the speed to 332 m/s you probably wouldn't even be able to get the bullet out of the barrel xD

Suppressor and silencer are the same thing,if your being shot at in war,and for some reason you need one and you just happen to say silencer,are you going to correct yourself or are you going to grab the suppressor?
