  • @wassytrini Actually the moko jumbie just like sailor mas came from B'dos originally. But yes the music is from Trinidad.

  • @RJHEllis No it is not. This is the uniform of The West Indian Regiment formed by the British 1769 in Jamaica. It was formed from Slaves straight off the boats from Africa. These were then treated as free men and had the same rights as their fellow white troops. But if they had to leave because of ill health or age they returned to slavery officially but this rarely happened because the Commanding Officer who spoke for the King as owner gave them their freedom.

  • Look how they take Trinidad songs and play it for their tunes, B'dos has plenty of their own...Moko Jumbie and that song Matilda is all Trini- sheesh

  • @ILoveToScrub I wish the BBC would create a BBC Edinburgh Tattoo channel as they own the rights. I can't share it without braking copyright rules but it is available on DVD. Sorry about this, send a request to the official youtube tattoo channel.

  • @WillowCreekPictures i wanna c 2. I think Bds had a cadet band back in the day. i wanted 2 join but wasn't allowed. police band was out of the q 2 but i did make it into the US Army reserves band, and for those who think the performance was a little strange, the Army band performs at many different events and wears different uniforms (inc civilian cloths) depending on the event. there's jazz , marching & concert band & they even have small grops for r&b and other performances so WTG BDF!!!

  • Bring back sweet memories of marching in many parades to the sweet melodies of the Defence Force and Police Force Bands in Bim

  • @WillowCreekPictures that would be kool becuz i wanna see our boys...

  • @RJHEllis I would be willing to upload a private upload for you to view, I'll see what I can do.

  • @RJHEllis I recently bought a dvd boxset from the Tattoo official online store which includes the tattoo broadcasts from 1998-2002. It's a brilliant product and only selling about 20 pounds which is great considering it used to cost 15 pounds for each rather than six. I think the tattoo are missing a trick and should upload clips of all the acts in segments and have a well designed channel. I believe they wanted to do this but the BBC holds all the rights and not the organizers.

  • @WillowCreekPictures woww.... long time.... is there anyway on the internet that i can watch the entire thing?
