Bush has destroyed our country and if Texans want to give him an extended standing ovation at a basketball game like they did on 1/28/09, then we, America, truly get the President we deserve. And we, America will have no one to blame but ourselves. I am ashamed to be an American who has to endure a President who, like Nero, fiddled while America burned.

No he would still be elected. McCain ran a terrible campaign but still held a strong popular vote all the way up until the economy crashed. Right wingers are scared of their shadows, all Bush had to do to win in '04 was say "ooooh gays will get married" and the idiots voted for him.
McCain tried pulling the socialist card with Obama but money was the deciding factor. If the economy didn't tank we would be welcoming President John McCain in January.
