yes... adding bottles can help the buoyancy. In my design... with reference to my body weight, the 10L bottle I was using offered about 20 lbs buoyancy.

not enough bouyancy, you probably need 5 times that to not get wet and for it to work well! well thats kool tho and a skid on the bottom to reduce friction would help too
