I'm a true horror fan, and I was wondering if this movie has anything to do with the troma's version of Mother's Day? u know like the movie sleepaway camp and years later they made " return to sleepaway camp" So is this a worth watching movie?

@adamjcantu Yes...this film is worth watching. Yes...it is a remake of Troma's original version. However, aside from a few little details, this new version has nothing to do with the original other than the bare bones basic premise. Having said all that, this Mother's Day film is one of the better remakes of the last decade. It does have it's flaws...but, as a horror fan, you should definitely check it out. The trailer seriously doesn't do the film any justice.

To all the doubters/hates: this movie has become one of my new favorite horror films. Their mother was so wonderfully psychotic in such an endearing way, and the victims were actually relatively rational in their decisions, which makes you respect them. I honestly don't care if you hate this movie or not -- just give it a chance.

the original & remake are like 2 completely different movie; tho what i still don't get is why the Mother steal other people's children? since majority of the time they tell us why...
