  • I will surely add more from the concert very soon!

  • where's the rest??? i tot its a 20mins movement??

  • Dear mahlerianvidz, I was not allowed to put more than this and the size of the file would also be more than 100MB, which is the maximum that youtube permits. all the best usmarco

  • Ok...I seriously wonder how many of these comments are actually from musicians.

I thought the cues where pretty clear...i.e. to the bassoons.

Cues are helpful...even if you are good at music. I don't know about you, but I kinda don't feel like counting for 100 measures. I'd prefer to be cued.

And cues and what the conductor does is HIS art and HIS interpretation. Try conducting sometime, it's not as easy as it looks. There is meaning behind each and every movement.

  • The conductor seems a tad bit random at some points....I dont know why but its not clear to me when he cues or even if he does cue. But the orchestra on the other hand is absolutly amazing!

  • When I played symphonic music such as this,(I'm a percussionist), we would take the first rehearsal, do all the counting, and mark cues (trumpets enter, etc) at appropriate places, so that we did not have to count 100 or 132 measures. Much easier to deal with long sections...

  • O of course your right. Ur probably not even a conductor. U probably have no idea what a conductor does. Are you a musician?? Probably not but if so then would u or wuld u not like cues. Im not say a conductor should only cue but it is half the job! ...O yea and "dont correct me, IM RIGHT!"

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but for instance Furtwangler seldom cued. A conductors job is to "play" the orchestra. Thus a conductor will play his musical inturpritation of a piece through the orchestra. if a conductor just cues he should be fired. ok- don't correct me, I'm right.

  • This is true but in that case I do they even have a conductor on stage. If your talking like that then he shouldn't even be up there. A conductor makes it easier on the orchestra by helping the musicians by CUEING them!! Im terribly sorry but I could of sworn thats wat a conductor does. Maybe Im doing everything wrong. Next time I conduct a group Ill just let them do it by themself and see how that works!

  • well surely the fact that the orchestra is amazing means he doesnt have to cue! they should know the piece and not have to be cued!

  • Thank you! nice perfomance
