I went here in 1995 for 6 months for depression..I was on the 3rd floor and I was only 15 and 15 years later I still remember this place..I remember going to the elevator to go to the second floor for school..the basement was like a little gym at the time.

The really cool building is the building with the chapel on the third floor!

So this isn't the DeJarnette building behind Sheetz?

i explored dejarnettes many times between 2005 and 2008. there is only one stairway that will take you to the attic which is nothing but wide open and a dirt floor.it is the stairway on the right side of the building when looking at the front of it. the other stairway takes you right below the attic. and the only way to get into the basement is the door on the outside by the old basketball court.it is told that the basement is the most haunted part of dejarnettes.

@JHunterKeeler This is the DeJarnette Building at the old Western State Hospital in Staunton. Are you thinking of the DeJarnette Center near the Frontier Culture Museum? And if so, were you able to get inside there? Because when I scoped out the property, there were no open entries (all windows and doors had been boarded up securely).
