@splicedenergy Hum.... that's a nice theory you have; I respect your opinion; you are entitled to it. However, it is generally recognized that laws are universal, testable and reproducible. Principles and laws happen all the time. E.g newton laws. Now, in some sciences, such as Biology, you mainly get definition of processes, not laws. There, theories are used to explain a process; which happens no matter what, and you can predict the outcome. Not in evolutionary theory, why?

@oopscanada We no longer use the word "law" in science. We only use "theory". Nothing can be 100% proven and this is why your assumptions are incorrect. The theory of relativity, the theory of gravity, the theory of the big bang, the theory of evolution, etc are the closest things to laws. It's not opinion.

@splicedenergy Of course a theory is just an explanation of facts. But that's it, an opinion; an explanation. It is not a law; especially if it cannot be proven in the lab.

@oopscanada A scientific theory is not "just a theory" it has a specific fundemental pricipled definition. It means "an explaination of facts" Google scientific fact for more info.
Secondly, they all died at the same time because that's when Earth was struck by an asteroid near the Yucatan peninsula. But it was not an extinction level event that killed 100% of all life on Earth.

Lots of fantastic stories being told here. Good for Children's books. Unfortunately, these stories cannot be proven. It's just a theory. Of course, not only it's all a theory, it does not really explain why the fossils all died at the same time, as if they had drown. Hum...; I wonder why.

All kids should have that kind of enthusiasm for science instead of shouting "Hallelujah" in mind-stifling religious institutions. Reality is so much more interesting than outdated mythology.
