@blackshogun77 hay i was just wondering did a lot of people do the big hair looks in chicago in the 80s i live here and always wanted to no that, i naturaly have 80s hair im black and samoin i love it im bringing back the 80s mall look and its really working for me style now of days is just boring and looks the same that look was also hot on people in sandiego cali were im from the blk girls wore weave so there hair was as huge as any white girls....80s was poppin

dlorezz, this is reference to your comment on 80's hairstyles when you commented about 60's hair. I've been recently collecting alot of movies from that period and yes, big hair began in the 60's, went away in the 70's, and then came back in the 80's. it's all coming back. I need you to make your hair into a beehive hairdo again.

As a black guy growing up in the 80's there were two main hair styles to emerge for blacks. One was the jerri curl afro (popular around 81-84) and then the box cut (popular around 86-88). I had a more conservative cut to my fro. Hair was definetly a focus in that time because everyone was trying to identify themselves in some way.

Hi Dawndee. I'm also a fan of your 80's videos. I think this new generation who wants to emulate 80's fashion have a few misconceptions between what people actually wore in the 80's and what people wore in movies or music videos. for example, as a kid in the 80's, I special ordered a micheal jackson "beat it" jacket" cool idea if i was going to be in a video with micheal, bad idea if I'm walking down the streets of chicago (where I live).
