If you want an experience like that of a roller-coaster when you are driving (within the speed limits), then visit these SWITCHBACK roads in North England. I crapped myself the first time I went up the biggest switchback behind a long lorry! (This film doesn't show the steepness as it really is). The Lorry really did look like it was dropping off the edge of a cliff right in front of me on the brow of the hill...I saw under the lorry as it plummeted over and down! I would NEVER go near those roads if it was icy!!!!
