Sam Harris vs William Lane Craig ( the best response ever ) (theUKatheist)

@lilAinthamorning You describe the argument as "tired," but your only response appears to be the adoption of an inexplicable lack of concern for the suffering on vulnerable innocents. This is actually a consistent theological position because mainstream Christianity celebrates the concept of endless torture for innocent people. However, you have to understand that this dark fantasy has no logical or moral basis. It doesn't impress skeptics, but fills them with disgust and concern instead.

It's astonishing how supporters of Harris think Harris won, and supporters of Craig think that Craig won. I don't think Harris did much more than deliver basically the same lecture he gave at TED talks while Craig just lost to himself by failing to knock down his own straw-man argument:

@lilAinthamorning It disproves the existence of any and all omnipotent, omniscient, and benevolent god.

God commanded not to murder.Gen9God then commands Abraham to kill and burn his second son. Ishmael was 1st son from second wife.Abraham should have said to the voice,"Get behind me Satan.God forbids murder."Abraham is applauded for disobeying god's command and obeying the voice. What would this caprious god done if Abram would have refused to burn his son saying it is immoral, and forbidden by god?Send Abraham to hell?Anyway, god said he never commanded this wickedness.Jer19:5

@lilAinthamorning The accusation that the Abrahamic god is corrupt is not an argument for existence ipso facto. It's a counter to various anthropocentric claims that "he" (never "she") possesses only positive human-like traits of love, justness, selflessness, caring, etc.

@lilAinthamorning Nah, brah. You see, your all knowing god made all this, knowing full well just how crappy we'd act to each other. Being all powerful, he could have stopped all of this. But, no. He chooses to punish us, for something that we're not responsible for- I wasn't there in the garden telling Eve to eat the fruit. That started it all. Jesus could have absolved all sin, forever. God could redefine what sin is, and thus absolve us all, but, he's just evil and wants us to suffer.

(Yawn) This is a tired argument... If there is a god, he must be evil/unjust for allowing suffering, etc. Of course though, that doesn't disprove the existence of a god. I must admit though, it is emotionally gripping... ahhh the poor little children.
