Well, there is a first time for everything. I woke up the morning of August 28th, 2011 to a hurricane outside. The only thing was is that I live an hour west of Albany, NY. Upstate NY has seen a lot of "leftovers" from hurricanes before, but never an actual hurricane itself. By the time everything was said and done, trees were down, streets were flooded, power was out, and numerous counties had declared states of emergencies due to excessive flooding. Upstate NY sees a lot of northeasters, and now we can say that we have seen our first hurricane as well.
Reminds me of hurricane Agnes in 72.
