Here is the true antique and classic elevator at the apartments on 50 White Oak Street in New Rochelle NY in Co-Op Apartments. All of the elevators on the block are identical. I do not know the brand, so experienced viewers can comment on their opinions on the brand. This elevator has the classic "pull" door on the floor, and a mechanical sliding door for the cab (which is extremely nice)does not level, has no floor indicator (written on the doors), and HAS the relay-controls. There is only one universal call button for each floor that serves as the up/down button, and the arrows light up according to the elevator's path. For the elevator's age, it runs VERY smoothly. It also has a door close button, but no door open button, which I thought was a little weird. Anyway, enjoy! :)

PS- Yes, the lock on the front door (to the building) was broken as you can tell when I tried to open it!)

Technical Specs-
Brand- Unknown (Otis?)
Type- Single- Speed Geared Traction
Capacity- 2000 lbs.
Speed- 200 FPM
Fixtures- Anyone?
Controls- Relay
Indicator- No

suzzex: OK this is getting annoying.

    *turns key AGAIN*

suzzex: THE D*** DOOR JUST WON'T OPEN!!!!!!!

    *presses doorbell*

suzzex: hi can you buzz me in?

    *buzz*

    suzzex: :)

  • j'aime bien cet asenseur(ce sont les portes en hublot qui m'interessent) !

  • Elevators with windows scare me. The fact that you might see something is eerie.

  • looks like BioShock :D

  • @suzzex Yeah I would like to film the armor sometime and their D.C. garage elevator

  • @suzzex Fair enough, don't think I've ever ridden an Armor before. Still, it's a beautiful vintage elevator no matter which manufactuer made it.
