After years of torture and heartbreak, I've decided to leave this abusive relationship as a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

@YungZ905 And what did that progress get us? A 6th straight season out of the playoffs. At the time of my post our GM had said he wouldn't rebuild through the draft. It wasn't until over a season later that he changed his mind and started bringing in picks and prospects. But, just because there is progress doesn't mean they are a playoff team anytime soon. Reimer could be the next Carey or Leclaire, Kessel is a 60 point player. There's call for optimism, sure, but there's still a lot of work.

this year will be just like the Aubin era.. Reimer came in for the end of the season to destroy the NHL in goal tending but next year he wont come back.. the leafs will do shit and they will have no1 to blame but the management for not making changes that will actually help them.. but hopefully it wont turn out that way and next year they go all the way.. GO LEAFS GO

@ckendall67 Leaf fans are always the ONLY fans that are regularly blasted for our loyalty, but we are no different from anyone as far as fan loyalty goes. Only thing is, the Leafs haven't done very well for a long time, so we are supposed to just throw it all away & dump the Leafs as if they don't exist. Like I said, today's fans don't even know what loyalty for your favourite team through thick & thin is anymore. Just jump from 1st place team to the next 1st place team & all is well:-p

It's clips like these that symbolize today's sports fans: FRONTRUNNERS. :-p Only support teams that win every year or are in 1st place, but the minute those teams begin to falter, JUMP SHIP & find a new team to cheer for & proclaim that you've been cheering for said team your whole life when you only began following them LAST WEEK! :-p
