Why Did he retire, I never got that. Invasor came and beat him but he didn't neccassarly have a good run that day. No reason to chalk it up.

You can rig alot of things in Horse Racing but the Clock isn't one.

In addition thier is somthing nobody noticed !! One owner have Bernardini, Discreet Cat, HH and add Invasor competing in the Same Year ! at the end of the year someone have to be retired.

It's true that their stables are "full", so to speak, but I simply offer that I wished that Bernardini, [yes, I really admired him], was allowed to mature as a 4 and show his stuff on the track and show his full potential. Secretariat had the same unfortunate fate. On the flip side, I can see why they would be worried if he were to be hurt and prevented from becoming a stud too. I'm sure it was a very tough call for them. Thanks for posting. Take care.
