I'm from Sheffiled, not Manchester but no matter..I see the Pete Townsend/Tea spoon gag has recently been rehashed as a Rebecca Adlinton swipe, by Frankie Boyle..the old ones are the best.eh?

mark miwurdz was a manchester poet and the first, as far as I know, who said that everyone in the world looks like Pete Townsend if they look into the back of a teaspoon - I owned his book once - what happened to that - or him - I do not know. Shame.

@liverpoolshoes ...haha good shout..but wasnt mark mywurdz the main man for funky poertry/? on the tube....if not you had to wait for cooper clarke on granada reports .thursday nights, apart from that, listen to sharrock bein the best drummer of a generation, which is gettin back to my main point....craig charles............just listen to half man half biscuit instead

This is my favourite IW track. I lost my vinyl copy of "Seven Singles Deep" years ago, on which was the best version of WIACD. The 92 version on the greatest hits cd was disappointing.

Blood wonderful! McNabb sure knows how to pen [and deliver] a great rock song.. Mind you it helps having Sharrock on drums... Bought this on 7" vinyl when it came out.... Loved it then, love it now... Legendary! PS Agree about Andy Kershaw - someone with real character rather than the plastic people you see today... it is a disgrace how he has been treated by the BBC
