  • She grew up so much between "Close To You" and "Passage" - like night and day. She matured so much, and she really knew her business. You can barely hear Richard in this, and he sounds exhausted and worn out.

  • saw k on home movie, and now in this radio interview--in both cases k seems so talkative and involved, as opposed to when she was thrust onstage--receiving grammy awards--she looked like she didn't want to be in that setting--it was just thanks and bye. also on tonight show--same way. my opinion is that she knew the superficiality in all that, and didn't want to be a part of it. k was all about the music.

  • Great interview-Cleveland Ted P.

  • Great interview, one I've never heard before, nice video montage too!

  • Oh you SO ROCK!

  • I completely agree - great to hear Karen in any interview. And what a tremendous guy Herb Alpert is!

  • Hey Dan. It would be really nice if you could contribute to our Carpenters' fan group (Downey's Musical Pride) if you can share rare interviews like this, or rare videos, too!

  • Thank you :)

It's always nice to hear Karen in ANY interview
