Some plants such as this variegated Hemerocallis (daylily) "revert" and need constant attention. Other growing tips can be found at http://www.doug-greens-perennials.com... for answers other perennial gardening questions) In short, I have to dig this plant up almost every year to separate out the variegated parts from the green leaf parts. You'll find Hosta, Brunnera and several other variegated plants do the same thing. If you want to keep the variegation, you have to remedial dig or prune.
