If you question your teachers you're on the right track to discovery and understanding... if you sit back and follow orders and simply accept things, you're just like every other sheep.. and the other sheep are morons.

No rule says you can't start and finish at a different locality... but using the same number twice is like adding another number to a linear equation. Even adding the extra operator which acts with the first number twice, is proving the use of an additional number. Using the same number twice by adding an operator which wouldn't be used in a linear equation, would be breaking the rules.
