To all those who still think Taylor won ,Sportswriter William Nack said he had never seen a boxer give so much as Taylor did in the fight. Nack pointed out Taylor's "prime" was literally beaten out of him and it was thus gone forever. Dr. Flip Homansky, who examined Taylor following the fight and immediately sent him to the hospital, summarized his injuries by saying "Meldrick suffered a facial fracture, he was urinating pure blood, his face was grotesquely swollen... this was a kid who was truly beaten up to the face, the body, and the brain".

@Proudmexica I know, I saw a vid . of an interview of Meldrick a few years after trhe Chavezs fight, and he look really bad. The Chavez fight ended Meldrick career. But I still think he won and that mayb he should have never fought Chavez. oh well

@projectx1000 Meldrick taylor got knocked out. he was wining the fight i give you that, but in the end he lost and almost got killed, i guess you didn't know he swalloed like a pint of his own blood and had the orbital bone on his face fractured, Meldrik landed more than 1000 blows chavez landed close to half of that but his blows where pure dynamite taylor's where like cotton candy to Chavez, but still people think he had won that fight i just think he is lucky to be alive!
