Just goofing around with some stop frame animation. I'm using a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-300mm. The first two claymations I'm posting were not planned, I just put some clay shapes on the light table and started shooting photos. I used PhotoShop CS to save each image as a 640x480 jpg. Then, with QuickTime Pro, I first compressed them into a dv video file then compressed that file into a 320x240 MPEG-4 movie using the H.264 video codec at 30 fps.

  • Well you have an excellent patience, with that you could increase the fps and the clip would run more smoothly. (not like it isn't though) And I vary upon my fps, for instance if i am making a realistic claymation i would set the frames at a lower speed. on the other hand if i am making a morph of something like that i would use a higher fps.

  • lol great lol

  • wow. how'd you do that?

  • trippy,

  • What IS that thing?

  • cool clay.

  • There's something aout the movement that makes it seem living. It sort of looks breathing!
