UPDATE: files can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?xdtqnz0yymj

The WUSB600N folder is for sample purposes. You have to download the driver for your own device.

  • @avdeveloper Yes! I need a lot of luck and I am sure I will get it done. Thanks again.

  • @ComeSiTec No problem, good luck on getting the T40 connected.

  • @avdeveloper Thanks for the tip my friend.

  • @ComeSiTec I believe that .exe might be the extraction file. So if you run the executable, it should extract the .inf file to the folder specified there. If not, installing the driver on a windows environment will eventually extract the inf file, you just have to look for it after the installation.

  • If I go to my device web page to download the driver it will download only the .exe file which is not working in the ndiswrapper. Once I try to open it it says it needs the .inf file. I could not find online a .inf file for the device. Any ideas? I am fixing an IBM t40 and need to get the wireless working properly. I thank you in advance..

  • can anyone help me? Ive done all that, and it says hardware present:yes But i still cant find ANY wireless connections?? What am i doing wrong? =(

  • @avdeveloper I tried it and I get this:

    frozencyclone@frozencyclone-laptop:~$ sudo modprobe -r bcm43xx

WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper, it will be ignored in a future release.

WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist, it will be ignored in a future release.

    FATAL: Module bcm43xx not found.

    frozencyclone@frozencyclone-laptop:~$

  • @TheFrozenCyclone open up the terminal and type this in: "sudo modprobe -r bcm43xx" and tell me if anything happens

  • I do the same thing but then it says "Unable to check if the hardware is present". But the hardware is present. Mine is a dell wireless 1370 mini-PCI adapter.

  • Great video, thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial, greatly appreciated.
