This was one of the most powerful moments in any game I had ever played, and it still is by a considerable margin. It's absolutely perfect.

@BallsofSteel1239 no. MGS story doesn't have that simple of a meaning. MGS story doesn't have some cookie cutter morale like "there is always something to strive for in life no matter how shitty the situation". It shows the hardness in military life, something everybody can't experience. (Peace Walker mainly) shows how incapable and rotten really the American government is. Also that nobody is a hero, and all of the so called "heroes" aren't perfect by a long shot.

@Majeh116 Actually, I think throughout this game, Snake and surviving chars from MGS1 would mention of fighting to clear up their generation's mistake. Raiden's past (which was traumatic to Raiden) as a child soldier has links to Snake's success as a clone soldier prototype.
It reinforced the idea of Snake wanting to pass on a better future to Raiden, whom he felt like he had already failed since he's now already almost physically inhuman, thanks to Patriots.

@footyconcept96 Metal Gear Solid has an amazing story that uses symbolism and real life events to make you realize that there is always something to strive for in life no matter how shitty the situation. While Halo may never have a story THIS amazing, it still has a very good one. Halo story= 7 out of 10 MGS story= I don't know- somewhere in the 1000's. So don't say fuck Halo, say FUCK CoD IN IT'S ASS!
