Speaking back to the censorship of my artwork at the University of San Diego, [sic] playfully undoes assumptions about what body parts - and disembodied parts - signify the feminine. Using the color blue as a metaphor for queering femininity, the video offers up a reminder of the impossibility of language as a stable site for naming identity. References included in the video are the philosophical texts of William Gass, the poetic and political films of Derek Jarman, and the musical interludes of Billie Holiday and Nina Simone.
