Ian Moore - Nothing

When I first heard the wailing guitar on Muddy Jesus on my car radio back in 1995, I pulled off the road to make sure I heard who it was. I heard Ian Moore and ran to buy Modernday Folkore and later I stumbled across his first Capricorn CD. He has since cut the hair, moved to Wash and evolved away from the Texas blues style but he is still a soulfull and fine artist who simply has the guts and integrity to follow his own heart and not that of the masses who once worshipped him as the next SRV.

@bjtgwalters Agreed! He IS the music, NOT a phase, NOT producers, NOT record companies. This is HIM RAW. And it should be appreciated by those that respect him.

I miss his long hair. Saw him in Austin earlier this year. Saw him MANY times in the late 90's and his music is always changing. His early stuff is still my favorite. Wish he performed in Austin more!

I saw Ian live in Toronto back in the 90s (I think it was at the El Mocambo or the Silver Dollar) and it was one of the best blues-rock shows I've ever seen.
I have always thought of this cat as person of the classic singer/songwriter cut from the cloth of the Austin scene. Beautiful storyteller no matter what style his muse tells him to set the song to... By the way MercuryZebra there is NO SUCH THING AS TYPICAL BLUESY SHIT. Obviously you think any ADG progression is typical. Its about the color between the notes played and the passion that makes that iconic sound. Obviously you're a yankee asshole that nows nothing of the feeling of true blues...

what do you mean "back when Ian was cool"? He's still cool in my book.
