@toajoethor Pretty sure it's a joke. He has guitars that have 24 frets. The biggest thing against 24 frets is spacing -- 22 almost always has more room (thus Vai scallops his highest six frets). Some people also say that having a pickup where the 24th fret would be makes for a sweeter sound, but I'm not aware of a way to test that idea.
