Bald Eagle Devours Crow

One of the eagle mates at the Jericho nest in Vancouver decided to have lunch when I happened to be there with the camera.

That's Hilarious!!! Who defends a Crow over a Bald Eagle?? lol.... Have Crows killed Deer, Goats, Dogs, and Baby Bears?.... Can they lift and carry Deer in the air?.. The Bald Eagle is the "King" of the friendly skies..... They will OWN anything they want. Pure Fearless.... Crows won't. I'm just saying.. lol. ;)

@TheTrebledSoul I COMPLETELY agree! "crows are smarter than eagles, you know" who cares? holy crap the bald eagle is the King of the Sky, Earth, and Water!! haha.

You should see what happens when bald eagles defend their territory against other eagles, the display is incredible and ALL the little animals run for cover. Crows included, not a peep for several minutes until the eagles calm down.

@Sasukekillsitachi oh its a crow. Eagles eat crows all the time, its a gristly little mid-morning snack. I know a lot of times eagles don't bother with crows so it might not seem like an eagle would catch a crow. One way to know for sure is if you are around an eagles' nest just look underneath. I call it the carnage: crow wings, seagull wings, bunny skeletons, duck bills, squirrel tails, and tons of fish bones.

After seeing this video I think we should get some eagles to stay in our cities. This way the might do some pigeon clean-up!

Intelligence is not necessarily an indicator of who will win in hunting situation. Humans are much more intelligent than a crocodile, but we still occasionally get eaten by them. Parrots may be more intelligent than many hawks, but they still get taken. Even ground squirrels may be more intelligent than a rattlesnake, but they still get nailed and eaten. BTW - predators aren't necessarily more "stupid" than their prey either.

@MrYomino66 thee is a video of a golden eagle swooping down on a young mt goat picking it up flying over a cliff with it droping it ,the goat/sheep falls to its death ....the eagle swoops down for an easy meal.....i doubt if a crow could think out side the box like that.The only reason there are so many crows in areas populated by humans is because they have fewer preditors like hawks and eagles to contend with....ask any biologist.
