This is a testimony of a very close friend of mine, Susan Yenser (denyyourself20 on Youtube). Susan gave this recently at an FCA meeting at the University of Florida. She's one of the few people that I can say with all honesty that I'm a better person for knowing.

  • Why does she still play basketball?

  • Huh? Why wouldn't she?

  • If its and "IDOL" why continue with it? They also made a sport of Samson. Its completely carnal. PEACE.

  • There are many things that you can make an idol of that aren't an idol in and of themselves. You do realize that, right? Many people make an idol of food (gluttony). Are you going to tell everyone (including yourself) to quit eating now? You would if you were consistent.

  • can you email me this mp3 please

  • This testimony is similar to my story...

20 years living in a christian family thinking I was saved before God open my eyes and I was born again.

Many people deceive themselves by thinking that christian tradition makes person a christian. It does not.

Only God can save a man.

  • I absolutely love this testimony. I have shared it with so many people in my church and community. It is a very powerful testimony, which has many people I know and care about taking these things seriously and looking at it all in a new light. I praise God for saving you Susan! Thank you very much for being bold and honest!

  • How is her walk and her heart after these couple of years? I wonder...

  • @RonMaday Seriously!

  • @Aphradonis Seriously?

  • I still don't get why people believe this nonsense.

  • God stripped her down literally? What a dirty old man!

  • cont...It's been difficult and lonely, but this video encourages me that I'm not the only one. God bless you and Susan.

  • Hi Lane, I post this video from time to time on FB to warn those who are snared by American Christian culture. Even though I was saved almost 17 years ago, my zeal was stifled by those who were supposed to encourage my enthusiasm for God. It wasnt until I found your channel two years ago that I was reawakened. Because of this, I can relate to Susan's story of the persecution that she had to endure from her so called Christian friends.

  • It's wonderful how Christians of all denominations can feel themselves tied to the "cultural christianity" you mentioned.

It raises questions about at what point do people "think they're saved enough" and how, in reality, only God knows your true heart.

Even the person in this testimony might feel after a few years that it still wasn't all and that God still wants to save her... more?

In the end, it boils down to abandonment. I was inspired to surrender more through this video.

  • To GOD and the LORD Jesus Christ be all the Glory!!!

  • I think it's wrong raising a child into a religion.
