    so this means that if there is a Gm7 chord i can play a BBmaj arpeggio or Bb major scale over it, right?

  • depends a bit on the context ... in the key of Bb major of course, but a Gm7 can be part of F or Eb major scale too, or might be used as "blue chord" in other tonalities.

    the 'a' in the Bb major arpeggio might clash with an 'ab' in the harmonic context.

    but its much easier to talk about that stuff than to play it ... the chords are passing by so quickly ;-)

    I think the chord at 0:30 is a Bb Major 7 , not a Gm7, isnt it?

    Gm7 = Bb Major 6 (bb-g-d-f)

    [if you change the 'g' note for an 'a' note you get

    Bb Major 7 = Gm 7/9 (without root)]
